“The Perks of Being a Wallflower” by Stephen Chbosky: Review

“And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.”

                                                                      – Stephen Chbosky The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I wanted to read this book for a long time, but now with the movie coming soon I finally got to read it.
Though it is really quite depressing at times, it’s absolutely worth reading!
Chbosky gives the novel a very personal touch by telling the story through letters. It really feels like that kid Charlie is writing these letters to you, though you don’t know him.
The whole novel has a very melancholic atmosphere and, though it made me cry sometimes, it was also very funny. I just think this book is absolutely brilliant!
If you haven’t read it yet, DO IT NOW!!!

Can’t wait to see the movie. I wonder, if they’ll manage to do this great book justice and I’m very excited to see the lovely Emma Watson play such an untypical character…
